Some Things Friday #46: At Least You'll Have Each Other

Some Things I Love:
1. Friday Hottie Paul Rudd. Oh dear sweet Paul. I recently watched "The Shape of Things" and by the end of it I was reminded of what a fine, fine-looking fellow he is. I mean, sure he has that ability to look goofy and in need of some styling product for his floppy locks at times, but man:
Paulrudd2 Paulrudd
2. Annie Chun's FreshPak Noodle Bowls - especially in Korean Kimchi Soup. rawr. This stuff is killer good. If you have a Meijer, I know you can pick some up there. Other than that, the search is your own. But trust me. It only takes a few minutes and Ohhhhhhhh Yesssssss.

3. Laverne & Shirley. Schlemeel, schlemazel, hasenfeffer incorporated. We're gonna do it!
4. M·A·C Tinted Lip Conditioner. It is SO soft and smells like choco-vanilla. Consider this my product recommendation of the week to you. YUM. (And guys, I didn't forget about you. I got this Jack Black lip balm for my husband and he says it's great.)
5. Flipping the calendar. I'm so freakoid about it that I REFUSE to let myself look at the next month until the very end of the last day of the current month. That way I can fully relish in the ritual that is The Flipping. For example, here's what I've been looking at this month (an old photo of a scene in Paris, which I get to change tonight - oooh, the elation!):

Some Things I Hate:
1. That the SNL Spartan Cheerleaders are no longer on the show. *sigh* I miss them. BUTT buttbuttbutt BUTT buttbuttbutt BUTT buttbuttbutt UUuglYYY! You're butt UUuglYYY! Classic.
Spartans
2. That I've noticed I've become a Jaw-Clencher lately. I get to the end of the day and realize that my jaw is tense and tight and OW. (I have a theory. But it involves another topic that I'll get to later. And no, it is not dirty, and if you even thought that you need to leave right now. NO. Go. Don't look at me like that. Shame on you.)
3. Being inside on a sunny day.
4. Orange popsicles.
5. People who say "Happy B-Day!" Or "V-Day" (Valentines Day). Or "X-Mas". Gah!

Some Things I Just Don't Get:
1. Why does water after eating fish TASTE SO BAD?
2. Hershey's Kissables. I had some. Let me fill you in on a little secret: THEY'RE M&M's. I don't know. I know they're cuter, but I just think it's a bit repetitive, is all. Pfffft.
3. Lisa Loeb's show "#1 Single". No, I actually kind of like the show. What bugs me is, she is TOO GODDAM CUTE to have problems meeting a guy. If SHE'S having problems then Good God I'm glad I don't have to be single ever again, because Holy Crap. If I were a guy, I'd totally dig her. What's UP? I mean, Helooooo?
Lisaloeb
4. Are press-on nails still making any money? I'm just saying. *shudder*
5. Is this really a positive toy for a child? I don't know, I thought maybe it was a bit too...suggestive. What do you think?

p.s. My sister's coming with her kids today for the weekend! So I'll probably be incommunicado for the next couple of days. I just didn't want you to get scared. It'll be okay. Hold each other until I get back.

I love Paul Rudd, too... especially in Cluelss. I don't know why, but that was the movie where I first fell for him, I guess.

Thank god for SNL reruns and DVDs... I don't want to think about a life without the Spartan skits.

Seconding the Paul Rudd love too. I miss new Spartan cheerleaders skits, too. One of my favorites is the one where they cheered for a girl who was in labor (oh yes, they did):

(to the tune of "Le Freak") "Awwwww, breech birth! The feet. Come first. Breech birth!"

Yes, Paul Rudd is one of my 'cute guy' actors, as is Mark Ruffalo. I have always wondered about that Annie Chun stuff. Now I will try it. Hershey Kissables are not good. I ended up having a choking fit because of pieces of sharp coating got stuck in my throat. Never again. I need to get outside ASAP because it is 74 degrees right now. Have a good weekend!

I second the person above me...Paul Rudd and Mark Ruffalo. Nice. Fantastic. Terrific.

...#1 Single is a bit pathetic. Lisa Loeb is cute but she is beyond annoying. She comes off so desperate, and you know E! is only showing the good (read: bad!) dates. I'm sorry, I think what is really irking me is the eyebrows. The arches go on forever. Ok, I'm over it.

I'm with you on the whole Lisa Loeb thing. I just can't figure out WHEN she got so darn cute. And for her age...?! She even hotter!!

Geez...now I'm really bummed. I'm so tragically un-hip that I didn't even realize L.L. was single -- I thought she was still with one of the Zappas.

My sentiments exactly on the Kissables, however. Besides, why have Kissables when you can have Kisses?

Maybe you should get your sister's kids some Chub City???

We could solve Lisa'a problems and mine because she is like #1 on my list of celebrity girls I'd brand my left butt cheek to go on a date with. This feeling goes way back to her "Stay" video too. Ever since I saw that video I have been in lust with her. If you ever wonder what my ideal girlfriend would look like... Look no further than the Loeb.

Sign me up for that show! Although, I am probably way too Costanza for her. "Hi. My name is Scott. I am 33, blad, unemployed and I live with my parents." Not really, but that's what she would hear. =)

LOve the Spartans!! Especially the Perfect Cheer.

You may have Paul. REally. Not my type. Too dense, messy, metrosexual for me.

I like Smashbox lip gloss.

G-bye!

Paul Rudd in Clueless. *swoons*

I had the same thought when I saw the Kissables...M&Ms in the shape of a Hershey's kiss. I'll stick with the M&Ms.

And you know what would be the cutest? Paul Rudd dating Lisa Loeb!! They are both just toooo cute. I love them both. Though I was bummed when I discovered her and Dweezil were no longer together. I heart Dweezil, too...

I love Annie Chun's FreshPak Noodle Bowls. I am going to have one right now, as a matter of fact.

those hershey things taste like vomit, not M&ms...bleck

Hey! My sister-in-law's best-friend's boyfriend does something on that show. Something important I mean, not just getting lunch for everybody. Although getting lunch is pretty important.

I'm visiting from Amalah's link list (it's what we mom's of toddlers living in MS do)...

I had to say that the cheerleaders - particularly the episode with Jim Carrey (aka LOCHMIEL) was a classic.

And who cares if Lisa Loeb is single or not. Actually, who cares about Lisa Loeb at all anymore?

Okay, I got your back on the cheerleaders. Did you ever see "Who's that hanging on my leg?" (Will) "It's me! It's me!" (Cheri) Picture Cheri O'teri riding Will Ferrell's leg. Miss. It.

paul rudd couldn't look geeky in the shape of things to me. i've always thought he was pretty cute myself. and can you say UNCOMFORTABLE during the ending?

excuse me, i was an art major...how was this experiment art? psychological mindfuck, but not art.

Paul Rudd is rather dashing. And I agree with you regarding Lisa Loeb and her perpetual singleness. She's nice, and has a bright pink electric guitar! So why does she keep dating weirdos?

I think Paul Rudd is cute too....but (and this is a BIGGGGGG BUT)....he has a very sick sense of humor. He was good friends with two friends of mine. And was invited to their wedding. Well, one of their other friends is a filmaker and decided it would be great if each of their friends were given a video cam to make some footage for the wedding reception that would tell them some sentiment about how much they meant to them...blah blah blah. You know they typical stuff.

Well, that's not what Paul did on the video. His piece was at the end, and let's just say that he did "naughty things" to himself on camera in honor of how hot the bride is. Thinking it was a funny joke.

No lie.

My friend (aka the bride) was sobbing and hysterical at her own wedding reception. I mean, her parents and whole family visitng from Germany saw his penis on camera!

So yeah...I think he's a hottie, but after that stunt I had a whole new view of him.

Best spartan sketch ever:

Word to your captain!!

i was so going to MAC today and you just sealed the deal on my purchase. word. thanks!

The love of all things Paul Rudd and MAC...I think we're going to be bestest buds. :)

You have great taste. Paul Rudd is yummy.

This is not related to your topic, but since you're so great with beauty product advise I was wondering what kind of skin care products you use. Your skin is so pretty.

I've had a crush on Paul Rudd for the longest time, and those photos just cemented it even more.

I'm tempted to pick up some of the Mac lip stuff, because I'm a whore for lip-balms. I'm faithful to my Kiss Me by Philosophy -- it tastes like chocolate orange and is just delectable.

They make an instant kimchi soup? Ooooh - I love that stuff! Found your site through 25peeps.

Oh my God, I'm addicted to #1 Single! I LOVE it and think I have girl crush on her! :) She's ADORABLE and if she can't get a guy, if I'm ever single I'm sCREWEd.

I love old school Paul Rudd (Sisters - in which he was married to Ashley Judd, Clueless) and MAC is what robs my bank account of all of its funds.

I know exactly what you mean about flipping the calendar. With me it even extends to the Dilbert desk calendar I have here at work - I cringe when other people wander up and look ahead to tomorrow's cartoon.

I don't believe in ghosts, or anything nutty like that, but I still find myself thinking twice before doing anything people might perceive as "unlucky"... stupid really.

PAUL RUDD=AWESOME.
